Guys I know I may be judged for buying a cheap smoker but I wanted to try it out before investing into a pitboss. I purchased a Expert grill pellet smoker from Walmart for only $160 (it was a clearance deal)
Anyways I've only used this 3 times so far, all 3 times I get inconsistent tempatures. If I set it to 250 it jumps up to 280ish and down to 210 quite often. It's very hard to get a consistent tempature.
I also seem to expirence a flame out every hour to hour and half. The grill starts properly, I open the lid and set it to smoke. After it ignites I close the lid and add the food after I reach my desired trmpature. After about a hour I get a ton of white smoke the temp drops to about 110. (The first few times this happened it reignited and the door blew opened abit but now when I see it I open the door until it reignites then it just makes a large roar sound and I close the lid) after all my flame outs happen my grill heats up beyond 350 degrees sometimes up passed 400.
Whats causing this? How do I stop it from happening? I tried cleaning the firepot but it doesn't seem to help!

You do get what you pay for.
The cause is likely a low quality product.
have you cleaned out the burn pot? Ash build up in the burn pot makes it hard for the igniter to light pellets as they are fed in. This will cause that thick white smoke then a huge spike in temp cause the pot is overloaded.
I have a walmart clearance special that works fine for me but regular cleaning and maintenance is required.
Throw it away and get a gmg 2.0
