Just wondering if anyone has ever used this before for stoking their fire/charcoals to get them ripping hot for an awesome sear?! Any thoughts on this product? Or products like it? I usually use my leaf blower in lowest setting to get the charcoal super hot during a reverse sear. But I find the leaf blower to be quite big and a bit of a hassle to keep next to me. This product seems to be exactly what I want, that I can use for about a minute to get them coals ripping hot. Lmk

Has anyone used this "mini jet turbo" for stoking fire/charcoal?

Weird. It almost feels like this is an influencer post.

  2. I’ve used a small portable fan that I bought at Aldi. That mini jet is probably a bit more portable and probably more effective.

I have one, same body but with variable speed. I got it more for other stuff outside BBQ (electronics dust removal, espresso machine/grinder cleaning) and it works very well; has a lot of power. For BBQ I generally don’t need to stoke my coals (I might with a weed burner and then let the vents do their thing) but it’s been useful for pellet tubes.

Naw. Last thing I want is lit cinders shooting around. Burn my house down cause I can’t wait 20 minutes.

I got a knock off one on Amazon, still a very powerful little fan. It doesn’t do much to help light coals faster, and I haven’t had a reason to need to stoke my fire in my kettle. The vents work better if the coals are lit imo.

I have found a great use for it with my wood fired pizza oven, it can get the oak I use roaring. Also great for campfires

  6. Well I can’t say this wouldn’t work, but it def would just have your wives get one on their next obnoxious Temu order
