Friend dropped this off for me to smoke – no label and he doesn’t know what it is. 5 ish pounds. Looks kind of like a sirloin cap? Trying to figure out what temp to smoke it at / internal temp to bring it to. Any ideas?

    *What seasoning did you use?

*How long did you cook it, and at what temperature?

*Did you use any special tricks or techniques?

Looks like a shoulder cut of some sort.

Where did he get it that he doesn’t know what it is? Man I wouldn’t trust mystery meat to have been stored properly

My neighbor lost his freezer one time and brought a lion over for me to have.

Straight to the trash. I do not like wasting but if you don’t know how long it’s been out or what it even is, the risk isn’t worth the reward.
