I took a job as an allergen/dietary specialist at a private school and everyday I make a pureéd meal for a kid and draw a doodle on it

Thats nice. You might just sneak your way into a core memory for some of the kids. The nice (lady/man) who drew pictures on my lunch

You’ll probably be remembered for decades if not life to Julie.

This is very sweet! I work in memory care, so much of the food I prepare has dietary/texture requirements and I always feel the most for the people on puree and try to do *something* to make it the least awful I can. This kid is probably not a huge fan of what’s in there, but it’s coming from someone who obviously cares, and honestly I’m tearing up typing this out. Thank you OP for being good

That’s nice until your boss gets wind of it and either shuts it down because it violates some rule they just made up or they take credit and make it mandatory for all meals

Might just be a huge bright spot in this kid’s day. Keep being awesome!

    This is so sweet!

One of my favorite memories of school was reading the little note and doodle my mom always packed into my lunchbox or pencil case. I think I’ve kept them all.

There’s a significant chance Julie will remember your drawings for the rest of her life. Cheers
