Been waiting on these Tabasco. People said wait until they turn color, but it’s been awhile and just today I noticed only one. They’re spicy for sure

I’ve eaten a few and used a few for stuff but I keep reading that they’re much more tasty when red …I will say I was not ready for how spicy the little green ones were….not expecting that

Same exact thing happening to me, never grown them and not really experienced other peppers that do the same thing

Tabasco peppers test my patience more than any other pepper. They take forever to change and time between orange and red is weeks

Tobascos just take a while to ripen. Well worth it to wait until they are red, but I like them when they are a dark orange as well.

They do take forever. I try and start my plants earlier than most so I don’t lose them to colder weather. Interesting note. There’s a coloured stick tobasco farmers use to make sure they only pick the optimum flavour ones.

I think I saw it on here a while back under specialized tools sub.

I FINALLY had a ripe one on my plant last week, and I was so excited that I just popped it into my mouth on my lunch break… BIG mistake 😂

I had no idea how spicy those little guys are!

  7. I’m in the same boat. One ripe pepper on the whole plant.

It’s beautiful when it gets going. It looks like a Christmas has tree with lights. And hot. Hotter than I thought. Makes super tasty Powder
