hurricanes, 73k acre wildfires, earthquakes, chlorine gas. your life is not worth it. a lot of local legal groups are litigating on behalf of workers being forced to stay and kitchens are dime a dozen. your life is not worth it.

Fuck off with that. I like what I do and have a great job but there is NO FUCKING WAY I’m putting my life in danger for this shit.

The problem is there is always idiots who come in or stick around and that becomes the standard for some reason. “Well Bubba made it here and he has 13 kids from 10 different baby mommas, if he made it so can you.” Yeah, he is an idiot who has no common sense.

Me and my roommate had plans on if we had a wildfire emergency and how we’re getting out, 19.50/hr wasn’t worth it

I stopped working in kitchens roughly 20 years ago & line cooks were making wages in this range & you could get an apartment for under $500 per month. It was considered a great paying job for someone that didn’t go to college.
Is this seriously STILL the pay despite that same apartment costing 3-4 times that amount?
