I had this chicken ramen while visiting Kyoto, Japan. Does anyone know the name so that i could at least start looking for it in my area? It was a thick gravy like broth that i’d never had before but i miss it.

Oh I literally just had this.. it’s from Men-ya Gokkei
But I think it’s their unique style. Which means it would be difficult to find.
If anything you can try to look at some Tsukemen recipe and try to replicate it

This is modified Kyoto style. It would be difficult to find even in Tokyo, much less outside Japan.

In case anybody is interested, here are the details of the ramen place:
It is located at the northeast corner of the city. From the closest metro station, Matsugasaki, it’s a 22min walk of 1.5km. Alternatively one can take City Bus no.5 at Kyoto Station or Shijo Karasuma and get off at Ichijo Shimizucho bus stop. The restaurant is 500m or 8min walk from there.
