Went to go clean out my hot pot and this metal piece is sticking out of the auger. What is this?

Does your auger still work? If not the heating element I don’t know what could fit through the auger.

Probably was in a bag of pellets. Worked its way through the auger then jammed it.

Put your phone Into the pot and take a pic into the auger tube

I’m guessing that spike / rod thing would have been in the bag of pellets, and unseen by yaself when you tipped them in to the hopper. Then gone through the auger and slightly bent whilst being turned in it. Surprised the auger didn’t come off second best, at least you know it is a quality build! That bend in the rod would have been when it was going through the hole at the bottom of your hopper and making the 90 degree turn to head towards the fire pot.
That’s my 2c anyway, could be very fkn wrong!

Update! Not a clue what this is. But pulled the hot pot out and was able to get unjammed. Auger and everything seems to be running fine. 🤞
