This radio has been through hell with us and we sadly had to put him out of his misery today.

Amazing. I just ran a whole gamut of emotions there. I STILL get pissed when I think of the milk crate full of my childhood cassettes that I left behind in a kitchen in 2001.

A JBL Charge 5 is worth it if you can find one for around $100. Its loud enough for the whole kitchen and it stays charged for me for about 5-6 hours on almost full volume.

Did you try and clean it? That finished off the one in the last kitchen I worked in. I think the grease and constant abuse was the last thing keeping it going.

Rip off the plastic cover! That LCD is working that means it still functions, the pretty buttons are just melted.

I have an old radio I used to leave out in the rain constantly while working outside. I still have that thing 20 years later, and it was probably made in the 80s. Still works great.

I remember jamming out with my kitchen manager doing backup during service. To Bob Marley of all things. He was hardcore into rap but Bob was meet in the middle. Healing of the nation
