Someone is selling this on FB for $14. They say it's brand new, never used. I tried searching by image, and can only find it on UK sites. Is this a model made only for markets in the UK? Does anyone know about how old this model is and have an opinion on whether it's worth buying?

Love mine. Does the job everytime!
I would ask if you’re ok being out $14 if it doesn’t work. Make sure you can test it, at least plug it in, before you buy
I feel like the worst case scenario here isn’t particularly bad.
Why is this even a question?
Edit: /s. Sorry, I didn’t mean this as a criticism. Just trying to be funny.
Make sure the finish on the inside of the bowl is good still.
Plug it in and make sure it heats up. Sometimes people sell things for a bargain that they just never used.
I spent 25 on that same one, do it.
Only if you are lazy and love delicious food
I have this one (except mine is white) I bought it in the US maybe 8 years ago and I love it.
Yes. these things last forever, I’ve been using the same one for something like 15-20 yrs.
They 29.99 brand new at Walmart for 7 quart
Love mine
I think for 14 USD you dont risk much even if it isnt great 🙂
We have the white one as well and just ordered a second pot for in it. The first one had a crack in it because a guest put a fork in it.
If it’s 10 bucks, if not wait till Black Friday or cyber Monday and it will be 😎 or similar
I have this one! I love it. I have had it for a long time!
$14… if it doesn’t work for shit you could use it as plant pot
The 6 qt version of this model, or I guess more accurately the 6 qt model with this same control panel, is my favorite Crockpot.
These are classic and work fairly well. Cery easy to operate. Once you plug in to power, press on the Select button to switch between high/low/keep warm and then press the arrow up button to add amount of time (mine increases by 30 minutes with each press). It takes at least a few minutes to feel some of the heat. I really like ours and my favorite things to make are pulled pork and ribs.
Hope that the unit will be working and that you will have many years of successful ownership.
I mean, it’s $14. Best case it’s brand new, fantastic. Worst case, you’re out $14. I’d say that’s a decent risk to reward ratio, just might have to get a plug adapter in case it’s wired with a UK plug.
We have that exact same model in a different color and it works great. I forget where we got it but I’ve had it since soon after we got married (24 years ago) and it’s still going strong.
I recently bought an unused, older model, Proctor- Silex crockpot for $10. Hi, Lo, and Warm are the only settings. The only “fancy” feature is an insulated carrying case for taking it with a warm cooked contribution to a potluck. I’m a happy camper. If I were still part of the working world, I think I would definitely have wanted the integrated timer but I’m retired and home most of the time. I think you should buy it, as long as you won’t wig out if it doesn’t work.
I had this one, and it was fine. However, on two occasions, the power went out for about a minute. This model resets when it loses power so you have to reselect a temperature. I lost two meals because of that.
It finally died so I made sure to get one with a knob that will resume if the power cuts out.
Obviously, if your food is in the danger zone too long due to a power outage, don’t eat it and throw it away.
