I thought this was a ‘cherry’ marmalade. Turns out Cherry Tree is the brand, and it’s actually caramelised onion marmalade. Not exactly my idea of breakfast.

Ach, despite the sub, I feel for them – cherry jam is some of the best.

Leaving cheese toasties wholly to one side for the moment, onion jam is actually mint on the right kind of bread, though. It’s gotta be sweet – think brioche, or toasted croissants. Personally I’d like a wee schmear of cream or goat’s cheese on there, too – which brings us neatly back to cheese toasties, which is where this shit really shines.

I love cherry jam but I also love onions. I’d eat this 100%

One time I was visiting my mom and decided to make myself a snack after coming home from the pub. I found the perfect ingredients for microwave nachos after rifling through her cupboards and freezer: tortilla chips; a nice blend of grated cheeses; green onions; and real, frozen bacon bits.

When my masterpiece was complete, I sat down in front of the TV. After the first bite I realized something was seriously wrong. What I thought were bacon bits, ended up being the frozen graham cracker and honey stuff that my mom uses on top of her apple crisp.

    😩

Throw a fried egg in there and you’re golden

Well that label is terrible. But the product sounds amazing and I’d 100% eat that bread, looks delicious

Buttered toast with onion jam? 😋 sounds like breakfast food to me
