I’m obsessed with this homemade spicy tomato soup…smoked for great flavor! I love making this at the tail end of summer coming into fall when tomatoes are at their peak flavor and it’s starting to get cold outside. Perfect soup weather. Homemade tomato soups are by far my favorite to make to help keep my warm in the cold weather. The great thing about this tomato soup recipe is that is is great anytime of the year!

Ingredients:
20 roma tomatoes (I used 12 roma and 8 homegrown heirloom)
6 cayenne peppers or other spicy peppers
1 shallot (not shown in video but a nice addition)
4 cloves garlic
1/2 c chardonnay
1-1/2 to 2 c vegetable stock (use to adjust soup consistency while blending)
2 sprig fresh rosemary
1 tbsp kosher salt
2 tsp black pepper
2 oz goat cheese made into balls rolled in black pepper
