Ciao Everyone!

In probably one of my favourite videos up to date, we visit Tunisia’s iconic capital city for a full day of street food eating. We join forces with Chedly, our Tunisian food expert, to visit some truly local hidden gems that we would have never been able to find without his help.

ABOUT ME

I’ve started a Youtube channel exploring food in Vancouver and around the globe. Let us take you on an adventure to find some of the best eats all around!

My name is Stephan and I am based in Vancouver, BC, Canada… I was born in France but then moved to Canada very young. Growing up as a kid, I developed a strong passion for food through the aromas of my Italian, French and Canadian family kitchen. As I grew up, I had the privilege to be able to travel to many places which further cemented my inspiration and passion for food around the world!

  1. Hilba bro was not a good start for fun but its super healthy for above 70 years old…good you managed to finish it…

  2. Names of the food that you ate are all wrong:
1: Helba is fenugrec paste mixed with water and olive oil. It has a really strong flavor. Mostly old people prefer to drink it in the morning.
    2. Fricasse is not what you ate. That's a Tunisian sandwich
    3. Kafteji is not for breakfast.. it's made with a lot of oil so we prefer eating it at lunch
    4. Jwejem is also not a breakfast thing we eat in the morning. It's just a street desert.

Just make sure to get the right names from locals, and I hope you enjoy your stay in Tunisia 🇹🇳

  3. 1:20 "helba" is fenugreek.
6:10 "kaftaji" is a lunch not a breakfast.
11:39 it's "jambon" it's like sausage of chicken but we don't eat ham in Tunisia.
    15:00 "droo" is sorghum porridge.
    Welcome here 🇹🇳❤

  4. Such a good video! It must be fun to experience new food ! Whoever is planning to go again you have to try " kaskrout shaneb" and homemade couscous😂 not the one from restaurants.
