New to the ironwood so I’m just asking for some clarification. I’ve had it a couple weeks and completed 3 cooks so far (2 overnight & 1 hour long). I’ve been vacuuming dust out after each cook but recently noticed what looks like grease under the barrel plate. How can this much grease get under the plate already and how can I prevent this? Has anyone had this issue before?

Hey! It looks like you posted an image!
If this is a photo of one of your cooks, maybe share the recipe and techniques
used, as it’s almost guaranteed one of the first questions you will be asked!
*What seasoning did you use?
*How long did you cook it, and at what temperature?
*Did you use any special tricks or techniques?
Traeger on!

Plate was definitely placed wrong during the cook. Can you post a picture with how you placed the plate inside?
I’m not sure you have your drip tray installed correctly. It shouldn’t be doing that.
Agreeing with others, the drip tray was in wrong, or has another issue. There should be nothing but dry dust down there.
You didn’t have the end of the heat shield resting inside that drip tray on the left. I’ve done this.
It doesn’t look like I have the ability to edit my post or post pictures in a comment. I’ll try and work on that and come back. Appreciate the quick replies!
I was scrolling too fast and thought this was an oil pan from an automotive group and flinched, hard.
