Personally I set the slow cooker from low to high after the 7th hour.
As said by him, throw into the pot with nothing else, leave in low for 9 hours, broil in an oven for a couple of minutes, that’s it! They ain’t dry at all!

I do pork ribs with my own rub in the crockpot. My husband loves them better than when I slow roast in the oven.

I would only add that if you cut the rack into two or three sections and lean them along the edge of the crockpot (standing), you’ll braise the ribs even better. I add just enough apple cider vinegar to coat the bottom of the crockpot, not to exceed a quarter of an inch. If the ribs are lying down, you’ll braise risk “”boiling” them versus “braising”.
