Culinary Class Wars is now playing, only on Netflix: https://www.netflix.com/title/81728366
Who knew tofu could be such a versatile ingredient? The chefs conjure up dishes using bean-based food for a chance to book a spot in the finals. Both Black Spoon and White Spoon chefs show that even bland and boring tofu can be just as flavorful as any other protein.

I lost sleep over this soup. I need the recipe.
Edward Lee should have won! He was so diverse, not just Italian. He showed he really understood ingredients. Korean racism probably the ultimate reason that didn’t allow a foreign born Korean to win the show, yet regardless Edward Lee outshined everyone on this show, especially against the arrogant N. Mafia. N mafia was so arrogant and rude. No humility in the end. He showed his true colors at the end.
maniac so cute with his friend triple star, please i want to know their real name!!
Honestly this is the best mission so far
Did anyone notice how giggly Chef Anh was after tasting Chef Choi's dish? 😂 He knew Chef Choi was getting eliminated that round 😭
I think the tofu hell elimination was THE best part of this show. Everyone did so well but Edward Lee was so classy from start to finish.
Chef Ann was def bias against Edward Lee
I like chef edward lee since first episode…even i know who is the winner in the end..in my heart he is the winner compare to matfia nopoli who only know to make pasta, i think he is better edward can make innovation and creative with food he make even challenge himself to make dessert he never make..that mafia he only play safe when make food
I dont call chef edward anymore . He is true master
As someone who predicted Napoli win whole thing , i think overall Edward Lee just unlucky he goes against the best Chef in the competition . Now Napoli Matfia won twice against Edward Lee and how poetic from the team challenge that being his right hand he beat Edward Lee twice 😊
Tofu hell should be the finale, it’s the real testament for a great chef
Its funny that mafia end up the winner… but most of the praises are for triple star and chef edward lee… who is to me the real winner on this!… im wondering what mafias thought on this!?🤔🤔🤔
Finale was so anticlimactic… 😞 It might have been well intended but ultimately was a misguided decision to structure the finale like that.
Wish they posted some recipes to try to do at home…
Jaket putih dikalahkan jaket hitam. Kalian sendiri yg mempermalukan chef yg berpengalaman, hanya utk menunjukan bahwa yg muda bisa mengalahkan yg berpengalaman?
Berrart anda chef bintang 3 pasti bis dikalahkan dgn yg newbee….
Hahaha acara yg saling mempermalukan
Edward Lee got robbed! Sad, because he’s a better competition/versatile chef than Napoli and judges
I'm still annoyed that Chef Lee lost to Napoli. If he is just in this challenge … idk. 😂
Legal lindo Lindos 👨🍳👩🏻🍳
Napoli was fantastic and well deserved win. BUT thought this challenge was the peak of the show and should have been the finale. Showed off the technical chops, the creativity, the speed, and the endurance of all of the chefs
Edward Lee is greatest Chef just like gordon ramsay, i don't know why he is there .
That mapo tofu lamb chop risotto looks like a mess lol.
The tofu challenge should have been the finale challenge. The finale just making 1 dish was not exciting. Chef Edward Lee won the hearts of the viewers and his dedication to make wonderful dish was great. I just noticed chef ahn was kinda nah to chef edward
Edward Lee definitely won almost everyone’s heart. His amazing skills, willingness to change and adapt definitely made everyone proud.
Napoli just won by luck. Just pasta everything and no creativity. His cockiness really annoyed me especially when he said he never let his head down because of his confidence. If you watch the clips again, he always smirk as if he is the best of the best in this entire world. In a recent interview, Edward Lee said all his dishes were new while Napoli just used the same recipes over and over again.
Chef Edward Lee won this competition!!!!!! No doubt!
The final should have been a course version of tofu hell and other early matches format. Make the format like tofu hell but with course meal and new mystery ingredient for every matches (the main mystery ingredient can be really expensive or really cheap to throw them off the balance). Make the two judges come to same decision before proceeding to next match (2 judges have to agree on the best appetizers before they proceed on main entry, otherwise they have to keep remaking the appetizers until any contestant got two votes). The one who won more rounds deserve the win (Total rounds counted are only 3). This way both chefs will be challenged in their creativity and capability in all kind of food (appetizers to dessert). The winner will get to build a strong backstory too.
I think the one of the reason people can't buy into Mafia's winning story is because the tofu hell format's aftertaste is too strong (it was really extreme). The tofu hell format really tested your endurance, creativity, and capability as a chef. The final felt anticlimactic after that. Some of the reasons people think make Edward Lee deserves to win more was already done by Mafia too in earlier matches. Like the creativity of coming up with dessert when nobody did (likened the entire challenge into a course meal) and the capability of turning cheap convenience store food into premium quality food/dessert. It just felt less impressive because he didn't do it while having a 4 hours endurance battle.
This new format won't guarantee Mafia's win (who knows maybe Edward Lee is truly the better one) but I feel like he's not as uncreative as people make him out to be.
The last man standing format of this cooking show was the best part of this show. I would love to watch more challenges like this with a different secret recipe.
Chef Edward Lee really killed this mission. I’m really hoping he can be the winner. Unfortunately not. But it okay. The winner also deserves the winning. But i really wany to try chef Edward Lee kentucky fried “tofu” chicken 😭😭😭 it looks so delicious 😭😭😭
Why Chef Edward Lee is even in this competition? He doesnt even cook in korea.
I actually like Chef Edward Lee since the team challenge when he thinking out of the box how to handle the crisis with the meat. And the tofu challenge completely making me more interested to him like he was so creative and inspiring with his story and his purposes to learn more about his roots in South Korea
I still feel like Chef Edward Lee should have won.
I think this is the best round in this show.. The finale a little bit boring for me..tofu hell is just insane,,
This was the better battle, required so much determination, creativity, skill and finesse. Feels like the final episode is very underwhelming and the winner only knew how to make pasta and put slabs of food around a round plate. He should’ve showed more skills to be the winner honestly.
in the winning episode the guy just made the same pasta and meat and served it in slabs on a round plate- quite underwhelming for me. Sure it may have been fantastic, but being well executed and a ‘good cook’ would’ve been a determining factor in the earlier rounds but at one point, nobody was a bad cook. It really came down to the way they used the ingredients, being innovative and out of the box really came into play. Feels like they gave Edward the short end because it was a dessert, but also feels like the show needed a black spoon to win as they needed the cash and ‘recognition’.
Damn people’s media literacy must be non-existent. Please stop spreading hate towards the chefs that have placed so much hard work for this competition despite having their own commitments. They have all been very sincere with their cooking and the competition. I know how easy it is to twist people’s words and actions in the episodes and I feel so sad to see this and how this must be affecting the chefs. This is a cooking COMPETITION that has been EDITED to dramatise things to keep users hooked to the show. Please keep in mind that you are talking about real people here and have respect for the hard working chefs. Although I do know that people will keep spreading hate cuz they have nothing better to do but I hope to raise awareness to the people that see this. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this segment and it was so interesting how each chef used the tofu in their own different ways (just proves to show how talented they are !) I really love this show and hope to see a season 2 maybe because it was so engaging 🙂
Need season 2 please
I'm disappointed with the series. Not because of the chefs, but because there are simply too many coincidences in the show. There are always just as many black chefs as white chefs left….. in the duel where a maximum of 100 points could be awarded, one of the jurors said he would award a maximum of 90 points, regardless of the food. Because you can always improve.
This means the other judge had a much greater influence on who advanced.
At this moment, I´m watching the tofu duel But I can already say that there will definitely be a white chef in the finale to increase the tension. without me now knowing what happens next.
I don't trust Netflix when it comes to korean shows everything seem fake or script so i knew finals will not be fair but Edward lee show have won matfia showed nothing impressive even semi finals his dished looked the worst to me but i wished they would make the winner triple star at least he seem more talented.
At first, I was impressed with Chef Napoli Mafia but after the tofu challenge, Chef Edward Lee went over and beyond my imagination for tofu dishes. Although he is not the winner in this competition, he is the winner in my heart.
As everyone already mentioned this infinite cooking seemed more like the finals and for me the winner was Chef Edward Lee 🏆
Most challenging round of all episodes and Edward Lee nailed it. Napoli matfia would have kicked out of he was in this round
