Salisbury steak is likely acceptable as well, though, the Swanson Hungry Man Salisbury steak from my youth never quite hit the same.

Can I add giant ebi fry and kani cream croquette to this?
It’s unfortunate that the hamburg steak in Japan with all its variations gets largely ignored by the foreign visitors who believe it to be identical to the salisbury steak or meatloaf.
Youshoku in general gets ignored, but many of its dishes have become uniquely Japanese just as ramen with Chinese root has. (Katsu curry is getting popular abroad, but tonkatsu and curry rice exist independent of youshoku category.)
