we've really enjoyed these jalapenos all season. great heat compared to grocery store peppers, great size, super healthy plants, very productive

    I believe ‘mammoth’ to be an f1 hybrid. The seeds from your fruit will be very much viable. However, the progeny will have significant variation from your parent plant. Open pollinated varieties have been stabilized to produce consistent growth/fruiting characteristics from generation to generation, but lack the vigor and resilience of hybrid plants. That’s the tradeoff between heirloom/open-pollinated and their hybrid variety counterparts.
