    Instead over at my place:

    Me: “I can work 30 to 50 hours per week. The more the better. I’m dedicating myself to work and I want to improve and feel I’ve improved enough to be able to cover more, longer shifts”

    My chef: “best I can do is 15 hours, and I might cancel 10 of them if we don’t have enough guests”

    Only worked at one place that used 7shifts and that system and kitchen was hell.

    Honestly? I fucking feel this hard. I was off work for a month after Hurricane Helene and coming back I’m starting to hate everything about this industry.

    That’s been me the past three weeks. Already at 46 hours since Monday and 16 hours OT for this pay period, and while that’s not a lot for most, my back problems have caused severe movement issues for me because of the workload these past three weeks.

    Yet I still do it, don’t know why.
