Found myself at the local fancy organic grocery store and noticed for the first time that they had sushi, everything looked so pretty and it was only a few dollars more than across the street at the Kroger so I went ahead and splurged. I swear this was nicer than the last time I had restaurant sushi! The escolar in particular might have been the best bite of raw fish I've ever had. Even the texture of the rice was nicer then other grocery store trays I've had. This was $19.99, or as I prefer to think of it, $1.81 per piece. Comparable to restaurant prices and I didn't have to tip a waitress or rush through my meal.

The amount of rice in those rolls is criminal. If this is the best you had I’m happy for you cause it’s all up from here lol

Looks pretty damn good to me. My local stores are so inconsistent with quality, I’m hesitant to go to any of them. The only one that always nails their sushi is too much of a drive.

Finding grocery store sushi with decent rice is already unicorn status. Anything else is a bonus. Enjoy!
