The slotted surface/crumb tray makes sense (like a guitar for confectionery), but I’ve never seen a bread bow… is it wire? How do you sharpen it?

I have one like this but the top just pops out and I dump the crumbs. It’s so damn great. Especially when you slice an everything bagel 🙂

Great concept but I hate the knife.

The knife looks like the back side of the blade would be too thick to use as a cutting tool for bread. Wouldn’t it smoosh the sides of the bread as you slice?
