Always a fan of kaiten sushi. Tastes OK for its price point.

Something you should definitely try out when you're in Japan.

I wish the Kura in San Diego had the same quality as Japan.

Is Kura based out of Japan, and has offshoots in other countries? I’ve had Kura here. It’s mostly for the price and the novelty of kaiten which otherwise isn’t available. I’d imagine IN Tokyo, you have more and better options for kaitenzushi

These are my favorite conveyor belt sushi chains.
    -Hanamaru, Tokyo station area
    -Mawashi, Kamata station area
    -Choushimaru
    -Sushizanmai
    -Kaiten Sushi Ginza Onodera

I tried Sushiro (Tokyo Station) and Kura (the one near Shinjuku station). Personally I think Sushiro wins by quite a large margin.

also one of the interesting things that I’ve found about kaiten sushi in japan is that unlike their SEA counterparts (there’s Sushiro in Singapore and Indonesia), they offer less rice option!

sounds entitled/1st world problem I know, but being able to try more variety of fish is very welcomed during holiday trips 😄
