I don’t understand how the strawberry glaze is so deep into the cake like that, every time I’ve tried to do something like this it just bakes into the cake and turns a pinkish color. Not as vibrant and flavorful as this looks. My dream cake 😂😭 I need to know. I’ve tried doing it as a poke cake but no success either. Unless I’m doing it wrong. (Reference this came from a Roman Atwood vlog and seems homemade so I can’t find any recipes for it anywhere)

I’ve never done it as a cake, but I can make a pretty good strawberry pie that kinda looks like that.
I wonder if the red layers are just dyed… Otherwise, could you soak the layers in strawberry juice, let them dry, and then form the cake?
I don’t know lol. I’ve never made cake, soaking it might just make it disintegrate. Dyeing seems like a viable method, but I don’t know if that’s how this was done; maybe the red coloration here indeed has strawberry flavor.
My first guess would be food coloring. The good stuff, gel, not the weaker liquid stuff.
