Hello! I found these rice cakes today and was wondering on recipe recommendations? Possibly a sotteok sotteok one? Or anything else would be good. It’s my first time making anything with rice cakes so I am wondering if I should boil them first? Or is pan frying alone fine? Thanks for the help!

I buy this brand for tteokbokki. They’re pretty soft compared to some other brands so if the recipe you’re using recommends boiling first it only takes a couple minutes! I usually get my Korean recipes from [Maangchi.](https://www.maangchi.com/)
Tteokkbokki is a great recipe to start with.I recommend My Korean Kitchen https://mykoreankitchen.com/tteokbokki-spicy-rice-cakes/
I buy these too and love them. I have a question about splitting: When I use them, I use maybe a quarter of the pack and place the remainder in the freezer (in my experience, they spoil after about a week in the fridge). When I pull them from the freezer later, I put the bag in the fridge for an hour or two and then break off the quantity I need and soak them for 10 or 15 minutes in cold water before boiling and then add them to my dish. Often times, they split during the boil… what can I do to prevent this?
