Looks good. In n Wales they also have a scouse dish. Very tasty.

Is that what it’s actually supposed to look like?

Every time I went to Liverpool in the late 00s to see them play, all we ever got from the pubs nearby was something approaching watery corner beef hash, and as for the horrors of the Scouse Pie in the ground

That looks absolutely banging, would happily devour a bowl!

Never seen Scouse with leeks in it.

Now this is how British food should be done!

Scrag end of lamb or neck and beef shin or chuck is what you want for authentic Scouse. Large chunks. More spuds and carrots. Just white onions and not leeks for tradition.

What you’ve made is essentially Beef Cawl, a Welsh dish. Not bad tho

As tasty as it looks, it’s not Scouse. Leeks would never, ever be in Scouse!

Don’t think Scouse is like that….gravy is way too thick.

Definitely a different take on it. I put leeks in mine sometimes but I’ve never charred them. I will give it a go ๐Ÿ‘

Hope you enjoyed the scran ๐Ÿ’ช

  17. FitAlternative9458

Why are there leeks in it? Ewww that’s not how its made

  18. minsandmolls

I make my Scouse half beef half lamb. No leeks lol. Red cabbage and a dollop of hp sauce is a must. Think you’ve made a beef stew, needs some dumplings. Looks delicious though.

I thought it was called lobscouse

  20. Campaign-Gloomy

No leeks, red cabbage/beetroot and crusty bread boss lad ๐Ÿ˜‚
