It’s admittedly very expensive and definitely not a weekly buy. But it’s delicious and I rarely have caramelized onions at home otherwise, because of the time they take to make. Sandwiches, pizza, cheese, it’s soooo good on everything.

I don’t need to, I can get affordable supermarket own brand caramelised onion chutney. Easy to get in the UK.

The Grocery Outlet near me had it for $2.99! I bought 8 jars , and then my wife surprised me with 4 more. I’m set for a week or two!

  4. If you like splurging on it, you should try eating it. That is the intended use after all.

I make my own and freeze them for future use

  7. What’s the point of it being a jam? I wouldn’t want them any sweeter really. Plus, I’d think anyone following this sub woukd be able to make their own pretty easily

Kroeger cheese departments have it sometimes too.

I’m hesitant to buy anything from Divina. I was trying to make a muffuletta, and bought their Olive Giardiniera. I’d bought $65 of premium cold cuts, bread from a top notch bakery, and composed my sandwich. I don’t know why I didn’t taste the giardinera before I used it. The recipe called to wrap the sandwich in cling wrap for an hour. After that I took a bite and it was VILE! I tried to eat it but it all went in the garbage. None of it was salvageable.

If you have time it’s easy enough to make, just caramelize onions and then keep going

I did not need to know about this. Cheers.
