I’m positively curious about his anti-food additive, anti-processed, anti-fluoridation stanches, while a bit concerned about his anti-vax comments. I’d love if the US banned more unnecessary, chemical food additives, but I don’t think I’d like to see polio rates go up. Also, I wonder how pro-plant based he is, overall, given his expressed interests in Medicaid and Medicare funding more functional medicine. Thoughts?

A person who has no clue of the dedication of those working in biomedical science or how it progresses. I fear he’ll drive many talented people from the NIH and FDA, and we’ll all suffer as result. And this at the moment the world is on the cusp of an H5N1 pandemic.
Are there tweaks I’d make to the FDA? Sure. I’d like more long-term efficacy studies on psychiatric meds, as so many have awful adverse effects that appear only beyond the 2-6 month duration of Phase III trials. I’d like to see reviews of any food ingredients where there’s a discrepancy between US approval and EU bans.

I want someone to start banning monsanto chemicals and all of the corporate food additive shit. I don’t care who.
First I’m not a trump supporter. I’m an organic veggie farmer that eats 95 percent vegan. I would like to see chemicals outlawed in agriculture in USA, I would like to see canola and cotton seed oil not used in human food. I would like to see ultra processed food outlawed. The problem is all the food in America would be at least double what Whole Foods cost. If we deport immigrants food cost could go up even more. That would be great for me as an organic farmer I also do not have employees so no change there. Imagine 25$ per pound broccoli. I worry some Americans would struggle.

I can see some good being implemented with him in charge – ex. Banning glyphosate, dyes & harsh preservatives. But at the end of the day it’s absurd to think that the food lobby & major conglomerates won’t be victorious in this fight. Sad to say but many Americans are also contempt with ultra processed highly convenient meals. They don’t want to be told to eat whole foods, implement healthy exercise habits or cook 3 meals a day from scratch.
