Quite new to having sashimi but are they supposed to be this thick?

Personally I dont mind it and for the most part this happens out of generosity not bad technique. I rather enjoy the thicker cuts, specifically if the fish is fresh and high quality.

I like paper thin and thicc Bois to me they taste different especially mackerel i prefer it finely sliced, salmon on the other hand definitely thicc.
