So I realized today that I’ve been working as a barista for like 6 years on and off with big chunks of other jobs in tech in between, and that I had never actually used a thermometer to check my milk temp. I usually use the classic “ouch 1, 2, 3” method and since I make a lot of drinks for myself lol I think I’m pretty ok at it! Today I decided to see how off I was, and I measured exactly 140 for my capp! I then checked and saw a lot of people responded to the question on Reddit as that being on the money. It wasn’t a big thing but for me it made me feel really confident, more than I had been. I was recently given the role of barista trainer for my cafe and this was a boost that helped me feel like I’m totally capable of training baby baristas!
Thanks for reading :). Here’s a cute basic pour from today. My cafe is recently opened and we haven’t transitioned into using ceramics yet so i had almost forgotten how nice it is to pour into a proper cup.
