Thanks to everyone’s suggestions – however I didn’t manage to order much homemade tofu dishes. My friend wasn’t too keen on sharing the tofu stuff I picked out, so I’ll be going back.
However, here are some cool things I really enjoyed:
Shrimp and spring onion pancake – there was minimal batter, and the veg was cooked but crunchy. Really delicious – also, the surface was light coated with what seems like panko? Would order again.
My main dish that I ordered was bossam for 1 which came with sliced pork and kimchee wrapped in cabbage. It was served as is, with a spicy garlic paste dip on the side. I assumed that bossam would be served with leafy greens to wrap, but there was nothing so I was a bit confused.
The kimchee was carrot / daikon kimchee wrapped in steamed cabbage. The kimchee was so good and unique to me – julienne veg, seasoned but they also put a bit of yuzu in there. So it was spicy and tangy with a kick of citrus and sweetness. I leftovers home but strangely enough, the yuzu profile had disappeared.
Anyway the whole meal was enjoyable, but I’ll def be ordering more tofu forward stews or noodles to try.

All of that food looks extremely delicious.
It’s making me hungry.
The way the bossam is presented looks like the veggie is in a sushi roll type presentation. I think you’re supposed to put piece of pork on top of the veggie roll and eat it in one bite. It’s the first time I’m seeing it. I think it’s really interesting and makes sense.
There’s a few different standard bossam presentations but like anything else some places do their own thing. For me as long as there is pork and some kind of fresh kimchi like marinated cabbage or radish it’s good enough.
