Just finished this dough trough. This was a test run, so it’s not perfect. I used 1” common boards and all I have it a circular saw. There is no hardware in it, all screws have been replaced with wooden dowels. I think the volume is around 90 qts? I can’t wait to see how mixing a large amount of dough by hand goes.

Impressive build!
Looks great. Do you treat it before use or just use as is?
A duff truff or a doe troe?
You’re definitely going to get a workout
That’s such a cool custom build! Let us know how hand mixing en masse goes, maybe pics?? Great job 👏
This is a cool thing and I don’t want to be negative about the cool thing you’ve built at all, but I have heard that using these is back-breaking. Do you often need that much dough? What motivated you to build it? If this is a test run, that suggests you need a bunch of these, so I’m really curious.
Dang! Looks great. I am dying to know what you do with all that dough.
RIP
OP can certainly skip arm day at the gym after a few rounds with this bad boy.
What adhesive did you use for the woods? Is it non toxic/safe for foods?
Finish it with a food safe oil or its juat a giant petri dish.
If this doesn’t work out—-mondo bread proofing basket.
Congrats on getting through the dough trough.
For a second, I thought it was a coffin…
