So update to Josh’s cake, and the story behind it.
I started Josh’s cakes yesterday, so today the process would be smoother when we gave him the cake. We ran out of blue frosting so my boss had to come in to help. He was furious with how I did the first three cakes, helped me with completing the fourth, and did the fifth alone.

(The first three photos are my cakes, the fourth is both me and my boss, and the fifth is how I was supposed to do it, made by my boss. I included the receipt again to see what y’all think would be reasonable corse of action here)

I love how the letters shrink as you kept working on the 4th pic. I can sense his building rage

The fifth picture looks like the worst one! If I ever buy a cake from you please tell your boss to shut the fuck up

  3. “PLEASE MAKE SURE TEXT IS LARGE ENOUGH TO FILL ENTIRE CAKE” is not ambiguous.

i think they should have been frosted completely like the 5th picture, but the text should have covered the entire cake like the blue in the 1st picture.

sending out those different looking cakes for one combined order is atrocious. i’d be pissed if i was spending $250+

No way that was sent out lmao. I have so many questions. How does a bakery run out of frosting, why can’t you make more, and why is the last one the only one with a white background

And wtf is going on with the birth one

Not gonna lie both of you fucked this up tremendously. It was a dumb request but a very easy one. How hard is it to frost the entire thing and then do lettering that reaches the top and bottom of each cake? Also bir’th.

We have to know what the customer thinks. Absolutely need their reaction.

Is this a big chocolate chip cookie? I’ve seen lots of these that just have the border and some text in the middle like the first 3, just with a lot less frosting. I’ve also seen some that are covered in frosting like a proper cake. I guess that comes down to what you advertise. Yeah, you used too much frosting on the first 3, but then the 4th one looks like someone’s kids decorated it, and the 5th one is completely inconsistent with the others and the white frosting is spread too thin. The first 3 might have too much frosting, but at least they’re consistent with one another, so even if it’s wrong, that’s how the last 2 should have been finished. Also, DAY doesn’t fill the whole cake, so it doesn’t even fulfill the customer’s request. If the customer is pissed, I wouldn’t blame them.

I feel like Josh is about to have a terrible year.

The last cake that your boss did, while not only looking completely different, has an exclamation point added. So when layed out, the cake will read “happy 33rd birth day! Josh”

This is messed up completely. No way I’d pay a dime for it

I’m asking this question in the nicest way possible: if you work at a bakery, I assume you decorate cakes for a living….why do these look like hot dog shit? I would be livid if I paid for cakes that look like my 13 year old nephew made them. What the heck?

  12. MitchEatsYT

    This is indescribably bad

    Throw out the entire operation

  13. jadeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i can’t believe they paid almost $300 for these

  14. yungdaughter

There’s no way you guys looked at these and actually gave them to the customer 🥲

  15. lesbianshrimp

All parties here were in over their heads lmao

  16. Conscious_Side1647

I would be so upset as a paying customer, none of these cakes look good, let alone professional, and not worth 275 dollars. I would be absolutely embarrassed to post these online.

shame on you and shame on your boss for not providing you with proper training and supplies.

    these are HORRENDOUS

  17. chrismasto

It’s not hard to understand they wanted to put the cakes together to make one long message. You gave them 5 random cakes. The WTF was not the customer here.

  18. _Nilbog_Milk_

From the hilarious order to this fulfillment update I feel like this is one big troll… I hope for Josh’s sake 😭

  19. Am waiting for the r/amitheasshole post when Josh’s excited birthday cookie benefactor cancels the credit card charge the second they start opening those boxes

Sorry but these are… really bad. If I received these as a customer, I would refuse to pay. If I made these, I would redo them.
