  1. Purple in color with a wide reddish rim.

Strong nose of black fruits with light oak, herbs, light vegetables and dark chocolate notes.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with cherries, red currants, earth, light wood, dark chocolates, spices, coffee, alcohol, black tea and peppercorn.

Short finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 5 year old Malbec from Mendoza is still drinking nicely, but will not get any better from this point.

I had this vintage 3 years ago, and it did lose some of its fruits, and the alcohol is more noticeable, but it is softer now.

A little unbalanced, but drinkable nonetheless.

Good right out of the bottle, good by itself and better with food.

    14.5% alcohol by volume.

    88 points.
