I’m inventing a rule that if food is served on a non-plate it must at least have something to do conceptually with the food. Chickpeas do ‘t grow in the ground.
(Also that does NOT look like a setup that lends itself to thorough cleaning)

Ok so I would half respect this if they had a massive container of hummus and this is hiw they scooped it out. However, the trowel (I think it’s a trowel) seems fsr too clean for that.
