In Florida, there are 3 major piers less than 3 hours from each other along the coast. I decided to fish all 3 and cook up anything I could reel in. I ate some of the fish raw right on the pier and then finally caught my first kingfish (king mackerel)! There were a lot of firsts in this video!

Keep trying new things and leveling up in real life!

  1. I don't know if ya'll noticed but that sailfish had a tiny remora clinging to it! It is incredible to think they can cling to a lightening-fast, fearsome pelagic fish like that and stay on! I did not notice the little devil until editing.
If you want to see the final day of this trip where I caught and cooked both freshwater and saltwater fish, check it out here: https://youtu.be/uCeUqxYX9rM?si=7eby_Sn0_cD866hq

  3. hey acea just a recomendation for king or spanish mackerel is fish tacos very good i come down to the florida panhandle from maine pretty often

  4. Actually, it's probably little burnt. Marinating with it is fine. When you pulled the fish from the marinade, let it drip off then add to pan. Add the remainder of the marinade once the fish is at the temp you want so that way the sauce doesn't completely burn. That marinade probably has a good amount of sugar and sugar tends to burn fast. Keep up the good work!

  5. He's a bait maker for fresh water custom baits small business and I was seeing if you would buy some baits from him

  11. Could have ended the vid after eating the Bonita but you delivered and gave us basically a whole second video in content! 😎

  12. A sailfish INSHORE?! I have never in my life heard of that happening! That'd be as if you saw and hooked a Swordfish, Marlin or Wahoo inshore, no one would believe it if they didn't see it themselves! That is so supremely interesting!

The reason the Yoshida's turns black when cooked is from all of the sugar in it. Sugar burns incredibly quickly, and even functions as a bit of a fuel.

  13. ACE got me from not knowing nothing about fishing to catching and deep frying my own flounder. Now only thing I’m missing is some of that first cast seasoning! Keep it up man love the videos!

  14. You're the reason why I love fishing. I've been a subscriber for 6 years now and watched almost every video. Keep up the great content Ace!

  15. You should try adding Indian spices to fish. Southern India eat a lot of fish and love their spice. I’d try some turmeric, tandoori masala and Kashmiri chilli powder on the meat while boiling the basmati rice with a touch of turmeric and cumin seeds.
