My folks love chocolate assortments, and for the past few Christmases I've given them ones from L.A. Burdick, such as their "Winter Collection" or their "Around the World". Excellent as they are, L.A. Burdick only has a few of that size and variety, so I'm starting to have to look elsewhere.
What are some other chocolate shops that have unique, good-sized assortments like this? Borough doesn't matter, I love bopping around the city anyway.

While I’m not a fan of most of what Jacques Torres does, their bonbons are really fucking excellent, and while painfully expensive they’re just in line with ‘this is a lovely gift’ land for me.
Major plus is that there’s enough options that you can cater each box to the person (pls don’t give me any milk chocolate). I think the champagne corks are pretty meh (champagne flavor doesn’t hold up against the chocolate at all).
If you want to spend scary amounts of money there’s always La Maison du Chocolat.
Stick With Me Sweets is exactly what you’re looking for.
La Maison du Chocolat has gift boxes and is excellent, similar to Burdick

My favorite is Raaka!
They have unique flavors and make little assorted gift packs.

They don’t have an NYC brick and mortar, but Vosges makes WILD chocolate. It’s always a lovely experience.
