Had to try the “Hot Hawaiian” burger while in Hawaii, with a pineapple-rosemary-habanero jelly, grilled pineapple, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar, prime brisket patty, on a Hawaiian sweet roll. Kinda weird.. but so yummy!!

Pineapple is great on a burger. I’m just not a fan of burgers that are comically big. How am I supposed to eat that?

I think grilled pineapple is fine on a burger, as long as it’s fresh pineapple rather than canned. Would be better with some Thai flavours on the pineapple to balance it out. Fish sauce, chilli, and then some lime juice squeezed on post-cook maybe.

Not really my cup of tea, but I can see the value in it.

  3. I love it also. The Hawaiian burger at boardwalk with it and teriyaki sauce is fantastic.

    You do you baby…..
    It’s looks really good,
The buns be the canvas and you’re a burger Bob Ross (happy burger buns)!

  8. Over my several decades, I’ve done a pretty fair amount of the artistic special ingredient burgers. Nowadays classic burgers with cheese, onion, lettuce, tomato and pickles with condiments hit the spot. On crazy days, might double up on the cheese or pickles and add a dollop of Heinz 57!

  9. 30 burgers in NJ, my first time visiting the US…good god their Maui burger (the only Hawaiian burger I’ve had to this day).

It’s hard to fuck up a burger, most burgers are decent and solid 7-8s at best, but that was the first time I tasted a 10/10 burger.

And even then, I swear OP if I had this burger it would mess up the whole fucking scale. That looks GOOD.

Hell yeah pineapple on burgers is criminally underrated. I like to roast slices of fresh pineapple under the broiler to get them nice and caramelized, then season with chili and salt before it goes on the bun. Damnit I’m hungry now 🙁

Looks good I’d give it a try. Not sure how to eat it, won’t be pretty!

I wish they would grill the onion like the pineapple other than that it looks good

You’re hardly the first to try it. Hope you enjoy it.

My cousin had them at a Hawaiian themed family get together, it was good! I thought it would be to sweet, but the onion cut it.

Mmm-mmmm. That is a tasty burger.  Mind if I have some of this tasty beverage to wash it down with?
