Italian Sausage and Broccoli Rabe with pasta. A favorite economical dish for a family of 4 under $20. It is easy to make and quite delicious.

Recipe:
1lb of pasta
1lb Broccoli Rabe (Rapini)
1lb Italian sweet sausage
1 cup of chicken broth, any kind you like better than Bullion is good
3 cloves chopped fresh garlic.
This dish does not need the pecorino Romano, but it adds such flavor. If you prefer to leave it out, the
dish is still quite delicious and restaurants do not serve it with the cheese in it (that up to you)

    This is a great Dish for any family wether your on a budget or not
    It is easy to make,fast to make and it is quite delicious. It is in fact
    very cost friendly at at Total cost of $12 which can easily feed a family of 4

    Ha ha. Mike and I joked that when we were first married and had a little baby, I could feed us on about $15-20 a week. Now we eat so little and are full we have to try to spend $12 on groceries. We get 11 meals out of a breast of turkey, NOT counting the sandwiches made with pulled turkey. Cheese and turkey or ham wraps cost less than $5 per person. Fewer carbs and you can add all the fresh veggies you want. Can you come over and cook at our house? LOL GBY Jeanine. Happy Thanksgiving.
