Rhode Island has been banned from making pizza.

Rhode Island, neither a road nor an island, discuss.

  3. In the words of John Stewart: “It’s not pizza”

  4. HackedCylon

You have confused “pizza” with “roofing tile”. Rookie mistake.

  5. Brimstone747

This isn’t just a pizza crime. I think this also qualifies as a hate crime against Italians.

  6. Thehawkiscock

Not pizza as I know it, but something called Tomato Pie which is really tasty in its own way.

  7. Ornery_Knowledge_120

    It’s awesome. It’s served cold.

It’s almost like focaccia with tomato paste on it.

Edit: and just so everyone knows, ITS AN ITALIAN DISH. Yeah RI adopted it (huge Italian population) but it came from Italy. You ignoranuses

This is like an anti-tourism add isn’t it?

  9. CantankerousOrder

I’ve been to that place. The girls are kinda washed up, and the buffet is vaguely moldy smelling.

This pizza is the best. Do not knock it until you try it.

When Altoona gf meet Rhode Island bf….
Sorry guys, I guess that you have to remove not 1 but 2 stars from your flag

Is part of the preparation process to let it sit under a heat lamp overnight?

Its a type of bakery pizza. Its sold room temperature from the bakery counter so no cheese was added so it could be left out. Can confirm it’s delicious. D. Palmieris in Johnston, RI is a master of the craft and also make an excellent “normal cheese pizza”.

  14. IndependentSock2985

I really hope it only looks like this cause it’s cold

  15. Varsity_Reviews

That pizza is bigger than the entire state of Rhode Island.

  16. DetonationPorcupine

The lil Sebastian of RI. Natives love it with a dangerous passion and I just don’t get it. They’re served cold too.

There’s a fucking BLT pizza on the frozen page of this sub, and yall are ragging on a bakery.pizza strip that’s essentially a classic tomato pie? Shame!

  18. We don’t get a huge amount of regional pies in this sub, but we don’t prohibit them, however if they’re subjectively ‘good’ by the standards of that style of pizza, we try not to harp on them too much.

Anyways, maybe it’s a case of ‘don’t knock it till you’ve tried it’, but it’s whether you think it looks appetizing.

    Cranston Rhode Island resident here
This is a red strip pizza,It’s phenomenal with homemade sauce I don’t know about Pennsylvania, but Rhode Island has one of the biggest Italian American population and this was served for more than a century

  20. Appropriate_Ratio835

Sprinkle of parm and it would be like the Ole chef boyardee boxed pizzas

  21. StockWagen

These are amazing the sauce is almost a reduced jelly and very flavorful.
