Hey everyone! About two months ago, I bought my first ghost pepper plant from my nearby hardware store. However, a few days after I got it, the plant started to look really bad. The leaves were turning brown and dying, but they’ve stayed about the same since maybe a few days after I got them, so they aren’t necessarily dying more.

So, I keep the plant inside because I live in Arizona, and when I first purchased the plant it was way too hot and the sun was too intense, so I moved it inside and keep it under a growth light for several hours of the day. I water it once every few days, making sure the soil stays moist but not too wet. I’m also going to start using some liquid fish fertilizer, which I’ve heard is decent for pepper plants? Let me know if it is.

So, what can I do to help make the plant healthier/keep it alive so it can keep growing? It’s still growing several new, healthy-looking leaves. I’ve heard that these kind of plants can be rather fragile to change of environment/change of pot, so maybe that’s why this happened? Any advice would be appreciated, I’m still new to growing plants in general but I plan on having a lot of them! I just got a large, healthy mammoth pepper plant which I’m excited to take care of, plus an amaryllis and a Christmas cactus.

It needs more sunlight. Bring it out during the day time, Bring it back in at night time. Water it every 2 -3 days.
