π Ingredients:
300g beef (thinly sliced) π₯©
1 tsp baking soda
3 tbsp water π§
1 tbsp salt π§
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp pepper πΆοΈ
1 tsp MSG (optional but SO good!)
1 tbsp oyster sauce π¦ͺ
1 tbsp soy sauce π’οΈ
1 tbsp corn starch π½
Steps:
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well with the sliced beef. π₯
Massage the marinade into the beef until itβs fully coated. πββοΈ
Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour to let the flavours soak in. π
Flash Fry the Velveted Beef:
Heat oil in a wok (or deep pan) until hot π₯.
Fry the beef in small batches for 30 seconds to 1 minute.

50ml water π§

Set aside for later. π

2 tbsp sesame oil π’οΈ
1 tbsp finely chopped ginger π«
1 tbsp finely chopped garlic π§
2 tbsp white part of green onion π§
1 cup onion cubes π§
1 cup mixed bell peppers (green, red, yellow π)
Garnish: green part of green onions π±
Steps:
Heat the sesame oil in your wok until shimmering. β¨
1.Add ginger, garlic, and the white parts of the green onion. Stir-fry until fragrant (your kitchen will smell AMAZING! π€€).
