SOOOOOO GOOD so so good.
We got 2 bacon egg and cheese with no onions
a little pricey for the size however the flavors are just soo good and the ratio for every bite is so delicious
we did wait a while (1hr because they were having some issues + paused taking orders for about 35 min to finish up the current orders )but that’s expected for a first day 🙂 everyone was so lovely definitely will come back in a few months once it dies down…… 🖤

also id like to add im so sorry for the horrible photos i tried my best but there was a lot going on 😂
Great post, thanks, just curious it seems really simple just from the ingredients, what made the sandwich enjoyable/tasty? Not knocking it at all just wanted to know more
15 fucking dollars?
No danke’
I’m all for capitalism but 15 dollars for that sandwich is insanity.
I can burn your toast for $12
You waited 1 hour for burnt grilled cheese and they still made you pay??
I had a biscuit sandwich from her when she did a collab with a chicken company? Can’t remember which one. It was good. I admire what she’s built. If she can charge $15 for a breakfast Sammy and sell them out she’s hit something right I guess
the fuck is this shit … easily make that at home
Looks good, however I never spend money eating breakfast unless I’m traveling.
Making eggs, bacon and slapping it on toast people can do in their sleep.
The $15 sandwich is bad, but the $4 soda is the real crime.
$6-8 buck sandwich if that
Looks good tho
I’m so happy. This was so sorely needed. We have like no expensive breakfast sandwich options in LA. Wish it was called Alafornia!
This is a sandwich that went viral on social media during the pandemic because of the way the maker was selling it out of her home. See videos here:

EDIT: on social media, as well as this sub, a few years ago. The owner even posted in this thread:

Cara is such a wonderful, hard-working person that I’d drop $15 to support her. Couldn’t make it a frequent purchase but I’d buy her hot sauce IN BULK if it was offered. That shit is crack!
I cannot stress this enough.
Grilled onions on breakfast sandwich is just fucking incredible.
Such a basic sandwich with burnt bread for that price. Not for me.
I would pay $15 if they throw in a hash brown and coffee.
$15 for an egg sandwich?
I guess the cost of eggs really has gone up. 🧐
I just wonder what the big push was for Cara to make this decision, I mean I get it allows her to expand and serve more but DAMN is it a risky play vs. bucket dropping them from her fire escape or even doing her pop-ups! I feel like for a lot of people the guerilla service is part of the draw, and with a brick and mortar location it ends up becoming “just another breakfast sandwich” to stack up against any, possibly less expensive, albeit also less tasty, other breakfast sandwich on the market. Either way, love Cara and Calabama and hope she sees absolute success.
I stopped by randomly. I am sure it is real good, but I wasn’t willing to wait 35 min. Also…Bimbo bread (guessing it might provide some element to it) is at the lowest on the totem pole.
My brother in Christ, you paid $15 for some eggs on wonder bread? You do realize that, for $15 and very very very basic cooking skills, you could make 5-6 of that exact sandwich at home?
Loved getting these lowered in a bucket during the pandemic. Also amazing hot sauce.
The fuck is this
I literally can’t get over this.
I know that food is cut throat as hell but these mark ups are absolutely bananas.
18 eggs cost $4.99 at Costco
Generic ass white bread (I’m deeply unimpressed here) is like $3 a loaf.
The audacity to charge $15 for one burnt breakfast sandwich with basic ass ingredients like avocado and bacon is just disrespectful.
Thank you for spreading awareness.
Damn 15 bucks for a sandwich and no fries
If it’s “too much” then don’t fucking go. Pretty simple.
