Every year I slow cook a turkey and it always comes out so moist and flavorful and I get to keep the broth for cooking other stuff later. It doesn't turn out very pretty and people always look at me like I'm crazy when I mention it, but the flavor doesn't lie.

Are you sure that’s cooked all the way..?
Fried or smoked is the best way to keep a moist turkey in my opinion. I’m sure this is good but damn, it doesn’t look appetizing lol.
Of course people are looking at you like you’re crazy 🤣
We do Cajun turkey breast in the crock pot and it turns out great. We put sliced andouille sausage and kidney beans in the bottom of the pot and then put a turkey breast on top.
Skin nice and soggy how everyone likes it lol.
I also enjoy my slimy turkey with a side of salmonella.
You are not crazy. My slow cooker turkey is always delicious and the juices make great gravy. I do it Christmas Eve and slice the meat, arrange it in a baking pan, pour the juices or chicken broth over the meat, cover with foil and store in the fridge. Reheat in the oven for 30 minutes on Christmas Day, serve on a platter with a bit of greenery and it looks delicious and tastes fresh.
I order a small, fresh turkey so there’s no thawing issue, and use a meat thermometer to be cautious.
