Gamay is meant to be enjoyed young. Do you think the 2022 would differ much? If so how?

This wine is intended to be widely drinkable and affordable glou-glou, buy the newest release and drink the case within the year so you have room to re-stock with the next release

I love that bottle ! But drink it young and buy the latest available vintage !

Both are relatively ripe vintages, but that wine tends to be in a very fresh style. It might depend on how fast you intend to drink it. For what it is worth though, I bought a case or two of the ’12 closed out for about $10 a bottle and drank through 2017 without noticing much decline over that time. 2012 was a more classic vintage though, not sure if the riper vintages will hold up better, worse, or similarly.

  5. 22 was a fine vintage, and while designed to be consumed quickly it does have staying power for a couple of years. I would recommend you get a case of both and enjoy it through the year.

I’d buy a case based on the label alone
