I have my regulars, but im looking for new ideas. What is the best sandwich you’ve ever had? What was in it?

My best ever was a tuna steak (rare) with wasabi mayo in a ciabatta bun. Unbelievable. Was overlooking the bay in Lisbon the morning after a heavy night in October 2015. I think about it every single day.

Once had a sandwich so good, I swear it whispered I love you before I took a bite—crispy bacon, avocado, and a sunny-side-up egg.

Cuban is my go to. But I’m still chasing the high of a sandwich I got from a random deli, it was a super thin, breaded chicken cutlet, I think there was mozzarella, spinach or arugula, pesto maybe. I can’t remember the rest. On ciabatta bread. I recently saw a video for chicken parm with vodka sauce on a garlic knot that looked really excellent to try.

Pork Bahn Mi from a random hole in the wall in SF. Marinated Pork, pickles carrots, scallion, cilantro, vietnamese mayo of some sort, a little red chili, on a toasty baguette

    Edit: pickled carrots*

Single best is tough, but there is one at a local sandwich shop that is basically a Reuben with duck meat added. Everything from the corned beef to the bread made in house. It’s a stellar sandwich

If you can find a Charley’s still out there, the Chicken California was top banana. Chicken, provolone, ranch dressing, and mayonnaise, plus optional tomatoes and lettuce. Best with tomatoes, no lettuce, at least for me. Best sandwich I know of from a predictable restaurant experience.

Halloumi, chorizo, avocado, tomato and chilli chutney, tiny drizzle of honey.

It was the BLTs my grandma made over the summer. Come in for lunch after helping grandpa out back spraying or picking vegetables. There’s something nostalgic to me about it, I miss my grand parents.

I love bell peppers, cucumber, tomatoes, radishes, butterhead lettuce, and with herbed cheese. I also like throwing in a bit of vinaigrette, all on thick and super nutty bread. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)

  17. Sanfranpsycho sandwich from The Boys Deli in San Francisco CA (with Dutch crunch bread of course)

The pastrami sandwich on rye with Russian dressing from Katz’s in NYC.

A unique sandwich I love is: toasted rye, Swiss, sliced pickles, Dijon, and either mayo or miracle whip type sweeter spread. Sounds weird, tastes heavenly. You can add any meat you want (like smoked Turkey) but it’s good for a meatless version as well.

Fried chicken cutlets, romaine dressed heavily in caesar, hot giardinera, on an Italian roll

Stilton, quartered white grapes, mayonaise, black pepper.
