Great crust. Next time higher heat. Dry your steak and get the pan ripping hot. It will fix that gray band. Probably still tasted wonderful..keep it up!

  2. Perhaps higher heat, shorter cook time (depending on doneness you want), and longer rest time. Still looks good and those mushrooms look really good to!

  3. Not amazing, but I’m sure it tasted great! Enjoy! Look up the reverse sear method if you want a perfect looking steak 🙂

A bit over cooked for me. How does it taste to you? That’s the important thing.

Steak looks great. You can use the drippings from steak in the pan to make a nice sauce. I find the sauce with mustard (brown, i think), A1, Worcester sauce, and fresh garlic is really good. There’s more to that recipe, but those are the basics. Just goodle those ingredients, and you’ll find a recipe for it. The last time I made it, I wanted to lick the pan. I didn’t, though. It would have ruined the seasoning of the pan, lol.

You had me at mushrooms 🤤
    Looks delicious

  7. It looks good enough to eat , albeit on the dry side? Perhaps it’s the angle of tit photo. I’ve been doing Carnivore for a while now , and I’m all about the fat! Personally, I would take my tongs and sear all four sides. Either way, Bon Appetit’

Definitely overcooked for my liking. My kids wouldn’t be fans either.

Love the crust/sear but a little overdone for me. Personal preference though so if it works for you it looks great

  10. Good crust, I recommend trying reverse searing, its amazing what it can’t do. You get a perfect inside crust to crust.

Make sure to dry your steak fully, I leave mine on a wire rack on a baking sheet in the fridge overnight. Get the pan screaming hot before you add any oil – you want higher heat lower cook time, not the other way around. That way you can develop the crust without overcooking the middle.

8/10 if the mushrooms weren’t in the picture

honestly this looks perfect to me. i don’t think this is overcooked but i like a nice medium steak (raw meat is off-putting in flavor and texture imo).
