Looks good to me.

Sorry, but that looks below average all around. Cut is poor, missing most of the cap which is the best part, and scarcely marbled. Cook looks subpar too. If you were shooting for medium or medium-well then you nailed it but with that lean of a steak I’d never approach those temps. The sear is not great towards the center, possibly due to being too moist when it hit the pan and/or pan not hot enough. Lastly, looks like a lot of juice spilled out on the cutting board, likely due to not resting long enough.
Hope you take this critique in the good spirit with which it was intended.

Aldis has been my go to market for years. Really happy with their selection and quality.

Longer High heat caused grey striping.

How is their meat? I’m always weary to buy meat from them but this looks phenomenal.

This steak seems to have lost its marbles lol

Meat at Aldi looks great. I just got a package of ground beef there for the first time and it was beautiful.

Aldi meat was always inferior to Costco at the same price in my experience.
ImUrRegret
Slightly over.

Sorry I can’t make it for dinner. Don’t want to pile on but the cut and the cook isn’t for me.

This looks good! How was it, taste-wise? And which cuts are good? Looks like people like their strips.
I’ve only been to an Aldi’s once but once just opened in town, so will have to check out!

It’s just called Aldi. No S.
That being said, it’s good for what it is. I like knowing where my meat comes from.
lil12002
Looks ok not much marbling on it though….
peskyChupacabra
For that price, awful. For an extra few dollars a pound you can get something much better. It’s not a value at this point
MajesticPurpose1752
If you like, medium, well not bad! Not very good marbling for a ribeye

Looks good! A bit more rare would be nice, but I’d eat it all.
Trollhouse_Cookies
I’d pay $550 for it

Aldis can have some pretty good steaks sometimes. You just gotta look for them.
deadheadshredbreh
Little done for my preference but I’d be more than happy to chow down if served to me.

I’d eat it. And you cooked it how I like. Did it taste good? Did you hit the head 20 mins after?

Aldi’s has great meat.

Seems kinda expensive in my opinion for the quality. You can always make tacos with overcooked steak by the way. Chop into tiny cubes like the taco trucks do. Reheat in a pan on low, add a bit of oil if you want. Splash of water if it’s too dry. The meat is already mostly broken down so it isn’t chewy. Never let a salvageable piece of meat go to waste!
I’ve even reheat on low with brothe and butter, covered and essentially slow cooked it. Comes out really good for a sandwich, nice and tender from the humidity and long cook.
