And yes that’s after the 4 hour event ended. Out of all the things we upcharge, this is the most absurd

I’ll be fair and say they did put a good dent in it. Enough of a dent to qualify $1800? Hell no.

  2. I won’t pay a cent over $700 if I don’t see any ramp

  3. You’ve had a long day, you go home and I’ll take care of throwing away this cheese board and closing up!

  4. wemustburncarthage

Lol fuck rich people. Beautiful spread but what a waste

  5. There some kind of critical cracker shortage in your area or something?

  6. It’s probably some corporate event where the goal was to burn money, if they end the year without reaching their budget their funding will be reduced next year.

  7. comfyturtlenoise

If I was there, that starfruit would be gone. I can never find it in stores in good condition.

  8. Worldly-Adeptness286

I could have knocked out a quarter to a half of this board by myself 😂
    Freaking quitters!

  9. laughguy220

It looked so nice, hardly anyone wanted to disturb it by eating it.

  10. DueDependent3904

I don’t understand how people pay hundreds or even thousands for these things

  11. IwouldpickJeanluc

    They didn’t eat ANY???

I thought the “after” photo was a mistake.

    WTF?????

  12. I would have stood by that and grazed the whole four hours…

  13. An hour before close, I would have let that starfruit have it. You’re coming with me buddy.

  14. gourdammit

cheese board is wild and all, but something has to be said about the $24pp for a pizza bar.

  15. yesnomaybenotso

Honestly, I’m not surprised no one ate shit. Look at those thick ass chunky cuts of food. You could only take ugly bites, which is not good for socializing and definitely bad for net working.

  16. Tomorrow’s special; artisan grilled cheese with tropical fruit salad.

  17. darkbarrage99

Gotta love those edible decorations that rich people don’t know what to do with

  18. A10110101Z

Serious question. Out of all the cheese on the board which cheese had the most eaten from it?

  19. I would have gotten captain rippered and ate the dead asshole out of that.. for real

  20. Late-Ad-4624

Id have ransacked that board. Especially after seeing it not get touched. I love cheese…

  21. FangsBloodiedRose

Well, I guess they rely on artistic talents like you to make the board.

This gives me justification to sell cakes at a decent pricing rather than making barely any for myself after ingredients

  22. Primehunter14

I would pillage the absolute shit out of that, go home, get stoned, get drunk with my wife, and eat cheeseboard til I puked. Then maybe go back for seconds.

  23. Looks like someone brought party pocket powder to the holiday party….

  24. hingusdingus420-351

I love how much more money i make during event season, but the amount of waste is astronomically fucked

  25. Capital-Sir

    2/10.

No dried out half radish contemplating jumping and ending it all.

  26. pro_questions

Carambola is criminally underrated and underutilized! Trini chow made from it is nonsense good; just slice like the photo and mix with chopped recao, scotch bonnet, lime juice, garlic, and salt. Chill it overnight and have it nearly freezing cold for one of the most wonderful treats ever. I’m writing this while eating the mango version of the same thing lol

  27. medium-rare-steaks

Even if you knew how to make a nice cheese board, $1800 is insane… But you don’t, so…

  28. pinkytingle

As a cheese monger the price on this is baffling to me. What was your cost break down? I see some kind of manchego, maybe a Spanish wine washed goat cheese, a blue with good veining but seemingly dry enough to be cubed, a young cheddar?

  29. EnTaroAdunExeggutor

Me, -100$ after rent and my addiction prices:

    “Haha losers.”

  30. Starfruit and dragonfruit for a cheese board? Maybe flavor-wise the pairing is impeccable, I wouldn’t know, but it’s such a weird clashing of cuisine.

  31. throwawayshirt

BYO Bao? As in Chinese steamed buns? What is that about?

  32. LilGreenOlive

My husband has shown me photos of the beautiful charcuteries he makes and then barely any touches at these corporate functions. 😞

  33. Indifferent_Jackdaw

To be fair there was a bao bar. I would have bypassed the cheese for that no question.

  34. ForemanNatural

In other words, people don’t really go after these. I tend to avoid them, since they generally are a hotbed of cross contamination. Knowing the number of people who simply do not wash their hands make any “board” in a setting where it’s mostly the public I don’t know is a no go for me.

  35. LifelessTofuV2

The lighting is terrible. They just didn’t see it.

  36. HeadReaction1515

    No offence but $1800?

What is that like 400g manchego and 400g bleu d’auvergne?

    Are the strawberries imported?
