Careful, second pic contains a hairy leg (nothing NSFW).

While moving places I needed to chill out a bit and took out this treasure (I didn't want to age it longer). Cork was falling apart, but I sieved the wine into another bottle. No major cork defect.

Amber colour, still crisp green apple with lively acidity. Some puff pastry / french toast, sherry nuttiness and oaky vanilla. Like a smooth, elegant Amontillado but not so heavy on the oxidization. Had some duds (bought aged wines) but this is def a highlight.

Now back to George Benson and my book. What's in for you this weekend?
