Tried my first attempt at macarons about 5 years ago and promptly swore them off after 6 hours of work, a big mess and pretty terrible results.

But got sucked in for another swing this year, with 5 more years of baking experience under my belt. Much better result this year. Used the Pies & Tacos peppermint bark macaron recipe. Definitely recommend – pretty happy with the results.
